RIP Princess Leia

New Blog Talk Radio show now playing: Mini-movie reviews.  Rogue One News postpone till next week. Rogue One will enter the Top Ten of all time domestically and break the top five after this weekend to be the No. 1 picture of the year.

Update:
http://variety.com/2016/film/news/debbie-reynolds-dead-charlottes-web-spider-1201949527/
This is so unreal. Right at the end of the year. Guess the heartbreak was all too much. Besides Singing in the Rain, my generation new her as the Voice of the Spider in Charlottes Web. Not a big hit when it first came out but became cult status over the years (remake doesn't count). I remember going to see this as a kid. To young to appreciate until in later years. This article includes two videos including the Spiders death lullabye, now more poignant now than ever.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/carrie-fisher-roasted-george-lucas-2005-brought-house-down-959479
I included to show what a great sense of humor she had and if you read any of her books it was apparent she could face her troubles and still laugh about it. Not easy to do. Also this article has other links to other new articles you can click on instead of me reposting them here.

What a way to end the year. And for some of us part of our childhood and teenage years are now history, along with many others this past year from the 1970's and 80's  dying way to young and before their time. Kind of scary when you think of it.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/carrie-fisher-dead-death-star-wars-viii-8-1201948826/
While the news is we get to see her one more time but this time her actual performance and not a CGI replacement, no word on Episode 9 as it looks like she ties all 3 films together. (No word on Hamill's take in Ep. 9). But one character could get a big er presence as a tribute to her mother and that is Billie Lourd (see imdb.com) who plays Lt. Connix in Force Awakens and Ep.8. As I mentioned in my previous blog you can see her in Force standing next to Greg Grunberg (Heroes, Star Trek Beyond, dude with the beard) while he explains the Star Killer (alsomentioned in the last blog). Even tho she doesn't have a line there hopefully in ep. 8 & 9 she will have a speaking role. It would be nice to have family there.

http://variety.com/2016/film/box-office/box-office-rogue-one-sing-passengers-assassins-creed-5-1201948409/
Rogue One rules with Sing trying to come close but no cigar. As far as the other films there was just too much competition resulting with them canceling each other out. It just screamed Netflix!
And again Rogue will rule the box office for New Years. The shame is like Paul Walker's passing after finishing Fast Furious 7 that boosted the box office the same will happen with Rogue One. Not to sound cynical but that is the way people are. This will also help boost SW Episode 8 sorry to say. Human Nature.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/a-4k-star-wars-restoration-has-been-completed/
This was announced last Friday. While this is great news, minus the double dippin again, it does take a different tone considering the bad news. It does not mention which version they remastered tho. And why was this never re-released in 3D is beyond me.

Bonus:
http://www.darkhorizons.com/votd-batman-v-superman-visual-fx-featurette/
Like the 3 view fx featurette I included last year from The Force Awakens that was Not on the BR, why wasn't this included on any edition in the home release. And this is a reference to the Rogue One edition if we are going to get any deleted scenes from the 3rd act that was seen in the trailers but not in the final version of the movie. Or maybe a Directors cut like BvsS (minus Superman footage) or Suicide Squad version that still left most of Jokers scenes out of the home release. What a mess.
Trivia: So why include this link? There is a connection to Rogue One and Superman 2. More on the Radio Show this week.

Rogue One Vs Box Office Newbies

Radio show coming next week so fans can catch up with Rogue One as there will be spoilers. Live on MNN, last show of the year, now playing on YouTube. New video and article added in the bonus section at the bottom of links.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/carrie-fisher-suffers-heart-attack-mark-hamill-star-wars-costars-friends-send-love-social-media
What a shame, on her book tour at of all things. Which I reviewed on our Youtube show. Good read.
Nice pictures throughout the article sent by family and friends. Wishing her the best recovery.

http://variety.com/2016/film/box-office/box-office-rogue-one-sing-passengers-assassins-creed-3-1201947826/
The Force is strong. Looks like the repeats are already kicking in with all those easter eggs to check out. There was plenty of them including references to Rebels and Clone Wars thrown in which I didn't expect. Great time at the cinema. I skipped the 3D, Some scenes would have been to dark to see.

Previously:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/gareth-edwards-discusses-the-very-different-original-ending-to-rogue-one-331
Spoiler: So Gareth did want some to live at the ending. Hence that contract sing by Jones to do another Star Wars. And the third act had the most changes that why we don't see that Tie Fighter on that plank with Jones. My question is how much of the deleted scenes are we going to see on the BR.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-sing-rogue-one-passengers-assassins-creed-1201946630/
Updated with Variety report on Box Office Counts. Will Rogue keep Sing from being No. 1? We will find out soon enough. Those Minions guys are no joke. Go see Rogue One again. I did.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-projections-sing-passengers-assassins-creed-battle-rogue-one-957607
From yesterday's report. This is where the fanboys do the repeats to keep it at No. 1. I agree with this article. The only competition is the animated Sing. The same guys behind Pets and Minion. Ouch. Talk about a powerhouse. And remember Trolls did huge with old songs sung by new characters. That chemistry works.  Either way the force should be strong this holiday weekend.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/rogue-one-star-wars-disney-box-office-finding-dory-1201945288/
$7 Billion World Wide for the year. Can Disney get any bigger? Oh hell year. If they start going after other properties like they did with Star Wars, the other studios will be so screwed. The beginning of the end? It can happen. Look what Disney did with Spiderman Home Coming, a Sony owned property.

http://www.thewrap.com/rogue-one-donnie-yen-almost-passed-star-wars/
Man, that would have been the biggest mistake in his career as this is his biggest film up to this point. Can it get any bigger. Yeah when he comes back as a ghost in Ch. 9 or some other spinoff. Remember he was one with the force before he died. oops spoiler! lol.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/trailers/796973-forest-whitaker-to-voice-saw-gerrera-on-star-wars-rebels#/slide/1
Now who's having last laugh. While the nays were complaining about his performance in the movie, he gets to be on Rebels to continue with the character. Someobyd out there is going "Whaaaaaa.."

http://www.darkhorizons.com/the-irishman-to-de-age-robert-deniro/
For those who complained about the CGI actors in Rogue, get a load of this. A young DeNiro and Pacino? Bring it on. The new shtick Hollywood is going to milk to death.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/will-smith-love-to-reprise-deadshot-in-gotham-city-sirens-284
Sure he would LOVE to comeback to this since his latest movie completely tanked at the B.O. lol.Wow does that sound desperate or what, lol.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/margot-robbie-suicide-squad-imdb-top-10-movies-1201945354/
I really question this. Besides the top 5  the others don't even belong on this list. Well maybe Mag 7 but Squad at No. 1? Heck no. What a strange list.

Bonus :
Rogue One Spoilers and Easter Eggs. I'm putting these here in case you haven't seen the movie as I will be referencing  these for the radio show.
http://movieweb.com/rogue-one-secrets-easter-eggs-list-star-wars/
Movieweb did a great job with this one.  14 pages in all. Great way to kill a lunch hour. The one that surprised me was page 4 where The 3D vector graphic is mentioned.  And of course the famous Wilhelm scream. on page 9. Total classic. Includes pictures all related to the topics listed.

So why this one from all the other Easter Eggs Videos posted. At exactly 13:00 Gareth himself mentions his Godzilla movie easter eggs that his crew put into the scene.

Rogue One Number One Box Office

New Radio coming this week: Rogue One review with trivia, eggs and spoilers! LOL. 4 out of 5!

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/rogue-one-star-wars-box-office-2-1201944938/
Off to a great start. While some are not to happy with this film (what are they thinking) The Force
is strong with this prequel. Loved the movie, way better than Force Awakens. The only thing was the ending. Some don't make it. I would loved to see some these characters come back. Oh wait a second. One did say "you will see me again" Yes! (that's why I chose the pic above, nudge nudge wink wink)

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rogue-one-grand-moff-tarkins-familiar-face-isnt-familiar-957178
Spoilers: All about using CGI with real actors to produce classic actors. Don't these writers play video games. That's what they look liked which was fine with me. And that thing about they don't look real enough. It's Science Fiction for crying out loud. A galaxy far way. Hello!
Ps includes video on the Star Wars timeline including the Han Solo and how that fits in the grand plan of things.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/oscars-2017-visual-effects-1201944426/
So Rogue One made the top 10 to be nominated considering all the fuss about the CGI. Ironic ain't it?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/saw-gerrera-returns-for-star-wars-rebels/
What is the beef with Forest Whitaker. It was the actors take on the character as an older Gerrera.
I was so glad he was in this. An Oscar winner who doesn't get the credit he deserves. See Samurai Dog. Excellent performance!

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-wars-logo-creator-fascist-roots-controversy-rogue-one-956800
Interesting in the making of the Logo after all this time. But the last thing you think of is Facist.

http://variety.com/2016/film/asia/china-box-office-the-great-wall-65-million-opening-weekend-1201944941/
Both Wall and Hacksaw Ridge are dong great in China. This is the competition that Rogue One, a picture that Gareth molded after War Pictures filled with fantasy elements. Yikes that is close. Remember China was kind to Force Awakens. Maybe this will change their minds.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-blade-runner-2049/
Sorry but he still looks like Han Solo holding that gun. And I just can't see Grosling in this.

Picture taken again at Lincoln Square Theatre, NYC. That dude would not move for nothing. lol.

Rogue One Predictions and Rogue Two Sequel?

Live on MNN: All Star Wars, tomorrow at 5pm. New Radio now playing. See Widget. For better sound click on the link to take you to the Blog Talk Radio page.
PS! Beware of Youtube!!! Major Spoiler Videos!  Do not watch! Especially the ending of R.O.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rogue-one-whos-getting-paid-956874
Rogue 2: Highest paid female, 7 figures,  for a Star Wars movie spills the beans. A young Luke?
It's in her contract for a sequel. Straight from Ms Jones in this Interview. PS I wonder how the other actors feel about this who sign up just for one movie. Especially the ones who die in this. LOL.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4251&p=.htm
Top 15 of all time? That kind of lame. It should be at least top 10. By Sunday we will get a better look at the numbers. Now besides repeats, once the audience finds out all the surprises and twists will people rush to see this, the non fans? The drama starts....

Previously:
http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/794659-9-rogue-one-connections-to-the-star-wars-saga#/slide/1
Not much of a spoiler if you've seen all hundred trailers released so far. But what they don't mention is what happen to some of the scenes that were shown in the trailers at first and now those scenes are not even in the movie anymore. Yep deleted scenes already set up for the blu-ray edition.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/gotham-city-sirens-movie-david-ayer-margot-robbie-reteam-all-female-dc-villains-project-
Now this looks good. At least the concept is from a comic book and not some suit going "lets make the cast females aka Ghostbusters and Ocean 11!" What amazes me is Director Ayer got this gig again after all the bad feedback on Squad. Note: see link below on somebody else from Warners who lost their gig. Now who will they get for Catwoman and Poison Ivy?

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/795259-godzilla-sequel-and-pacific-rim-sequel-titles-revealed#/slide/1
Finally some titles for these pictures. While Pacific Rim has Star Wars star Boyer, the real big stars will be Rodan Mothra and King G for the Godzilla sequel if that's still the game plan. Gareth wanted to do Mechagodzilla, when they said no supposedly, he jumped ship for Star Wars. Geez, jeez 2 franchises under his blet. All he needs is a Marvel movie then retire. Sorry DC don't count.

http://tvline.com/2016/12/14/star-trek-discovery-sonequa-martin-green-cast-the-walking-dead/
Spoiler alert? Unless she can do two shows at the same time. Well it looks like we now know who is going to get killed at the end of Walking Dead season. either way will it help Star Trek new show. So far the cast if pretty good, having 3 klingons added to the cast doesn't hurt either. Fingers crossed.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/netflixs-lost-in-space-casts-its-don-west/
Talk about another show that had 1960's origins being updated for today. This has "Suck" written all over it. A simple concept andthey have to add all this extra baggage to it. A roughneck smuggling goods. Ain't flying the ship hard enough? So he has a side hobby up to no good. Yikes.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/toby-emmerich-named-warner-bros-chief-content-officer-greg-silverman-ousted-1201942510/
"Your only good as your last hit" Old industry term. This is what happens when 2 of the biggest icons don't cross the $1B mark. It also doesn't help when it made just $200M more than 2 less lesser known titles. Case in point: BvS and Deadpool with Suicide Squad. In this industry it don't matter if you were behind The Hobbit and other worold known titles. You tank at one major franchise and your outta here.

Bonus:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/godzilla-sequel-gets-new-title-that-reveals-what-the-plot-might-be-534-02
I included this mainly because this has the famous  Bambi vs. Godzilla video. It never gets old.

Also:
I'm putting this link over here as some of my readers couldn't care less while some others are curious what do I think as I follow the awards season every year for the past 27 years.
http://variety.com/2016/film/awards/sag-awards-2017-nomination-main-story-screen-actors-guild-1201941429/
This is all about acting. So it was nice to see Vitto Mortensen for Captain Fantastic, great acting, ok movie. Meryl Streep for Florence Jenkins along with Hugh Grant. Great acting, ok movie, annoying singing, funny at first then just grating on the years. Personal fav Jeff Bridges for Hell or High Water, all 3 including Ben forster and Cris Pike deserve Nods for a great movie. 4 out of 5.
Last but not least is Andrew Garfield who told Sony go screw themselves for Spiderman. Now who's getting the last laugh. Great job all around including Mel for Hacksaw Ridge. 4 our of 5.

Extra Bonus:
Which will be mentioned on our Live Show. Please take this with a shrug. It's not the worst of all time. If you don't like the first  minutes, you are going to Hate the rest of the clip. Lotsa of details.

Star Wars: Rogue One Premiere

Live on MNN this Saturday with our Rogue One special will be our last show for the year.
We got renewed and will be back in January. Announcement now playing on Blog Talk Radio.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-premieres-1201939043/
While they critics are not allow to post anything till Wednesday, the audience has posted on social sites and for the most part really enjoyed it. I hope they're right and not caught up in the moment.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-inside-premiere-954723
This has pics from the red carpet and people's twits with photos inside the party.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/794007-rogue-one-world-premiere-and-after-party-photos
More on the premiere with 99 photos with the cast and guests. You know, the lucky ones.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-moana-beats-office-christmas-party-188m-la-la-land-breaks-records-955042
Well Moana had a good run and at least it beat that dumb Xmas Party movie. But it's all over now with Rogue One around the corner.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/reynolds-wants-a-deadpool-vs-wolverine-film/
Simple: Logan tanks big time opening weekend. And worse box office than the first two movies. And forget trilogy box set on Blu-ray. Who would want that? Then you'll see this movie. It also doesn't hurt that Reynolds just got a Golden Globe nod for Best Actor in a Comedy. Um, Deadpool gets burn to a crisp and they call that a comedy. Go figure. But a nod is a nod.

3 Klingons added to the cast. Smart move since you cannever tired of those guys. Something JJ promised for the reboot movies but we just got the tease in the second movie. Shame.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/794059-fate-of-the-furious-trailer#/slide/1
What's with the submarine? Since when The Furious go 007 Bond on us? Well it was bound to happen. Heck does the story really matter anymore? Just give us a lot of action and crashes and we're good.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/afi-names-top-movies-tv-shows-2016-954445
How the heck did Arrival get on this list? This is the most over rated movie of the year. It's not bad but it ain't all that for crying out loud. But 3 of my favs did make the list. Hacksaw Ridge, Sully and Hell or High Water, Jeff Bridges deserves an Oscar nod for Supporting Actor.  The others? Well no major hurry to see depressing movies for the holidays. Sorry Manchester by the Sea.

Bonus:
http://variety.com/2016/film/news/golden-globe-nominations-2017-nominees-full-list-1201938375/
Surprise: Sully completely shut out but Mel Gibson wins massive nods for being a darkhorse. But it already looks like automatic wins when it comes down to Oscars. See below.

http://theplaylist.net/2017-la-la-land-wins-eight-2017-critics-choice-awards-complete-list-of-winners-20161211/
Well it looks like both La La Land and Moonlight will fight for Best Pic, Director, Screenplay. Portman for Actress and Affleck for Actor. Well so much for the Oscars.

2nd Bonus:
Mel's very underrated picture is a must see: This is the making of "Apocalypto".

More Star Wars: Rogue One News

No Live on MNN this week. Radio show next week due to work load. Bonus video at bottom.

Update:
Earth Will Feel The Power of The Force
$350M World Wide Opening. Duh! Actually it should be around $400M with so many theatres opening weekend. But will there be repeats if it's Phantom Menace bad. That's the trick.  But keep an eye on China and India where The Force tanked keeping it from being No.l all time world wide. Long article but check out the last paragraph. They used the word Respectable. I rather use Tanked, lol.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/rogue-one-namesake-clip-and-michael-giacchinos-score-tracklist-revealed-361
Giacchinos did a great score for Jurassic World not matter how underrated most people feel about it. Taking over from Williams is no small feat that's for sure. If one thing is going to work out is the soundtrack. Everything else, besides the SFX, is up in the air.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/carrie-fisher-lawsuit-defendant-ruling-942113
Reading her latest book about that affair she had with Han Solo. But there were other things that did go good in her career which she mentions like being broke at one time. Now she got this over her head. Poor Princess, all the headaches that go fame. Well that sucks.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/new-details-on-the-vulture-in-spider-man/
Good for Keaton but I wonder how does both Malcovitch and Kingsley feel about this since at one time they were both up for the part. Yeah I be pissed off too, lol.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/knight-to-set-up-transformers-spin-offs/
Well here they go again. But then Bumblebee was always a favorite and he kind of got diss in the last few movies. So a spinoff might not be a bad idea. But the rest. How long will that last?...................... wow what a dumb question...

http://deadline.com/2016/12/little-shop-of-horrors-greg-berlanti-warner-bros-musical-movie-matthew-robinson-1201866086/
When this was first mentioned on IMDB the comments posted all agreed that this was a bad idea. The one done in the 80's was good enough even if they edited the big Creatures attacking the city aka Godzilla. Yeah it was a down ending but it made sense. Now why bother with a remake if it's going to be the very same story as the 80's version? See below bonus for the video.
l
http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/hairspray-live-ratings-dec-7-1201937092/
Talk about musicals. So why was the ratings down on this? Simple, The show didn't have a megahit t represent it. Soud of Music had multiple songs, so did Grease. Name a Peter Pan tune, nope. Neither did this one. That's the catch. Think of Frozen (uugghhh). It had 'Let It Go' top 10 hit. There you go.

Bonus:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/apple-in-discussion-with-studios-over-early-access-to-movies-132
Lets face it. Most movies disappear after 4 weeks anyways. So why not release them 2 weeks after a major release. AS far as movie houses half the time their empty anyways. Poor guys. But they got to bring the price down. After waiting 6 months I;m watching major summer releases from the library aka Civil War and Find Dory. All for free. They need to wake up.

Little Shop of Horrors Deleted Ending: Monster rampage starts at 7;30 mark.

Star Wars Rogue One Event

Tribute to Green Hornet below in the bonus section including pictures and videos of the Black Beauty taken at the police museum show along with the Batmobile.  New Radio show coming soon.

Rogue One Press Event
28 minutes of footage was shown at Skywalker Ranch. Sounds like Lucas was happy with the film. Well at least he liked it better than Force Awakens and that was because they didn't use his story outline for the last trilogy. This includes 12 pages with some details with minor spoilers. But if you've seen all 100 HUNDRED trailers then this shouldn't bother you. lol. Jeez how many more are they going to show anyways?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-moana-sails-no-1-second-week-284-million-952517
Video included with box office numbers and trivia of the top . One more weekend then it's all over when Rogue One comes out. Regardless of reviews this will be huge.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/marvel-breaks-records-with-guardians-trailer/
Have to admit the trailer is pretty clever. Highlighting the Racoon and Baby Groot to mass effect.
Something to look forward to until the team joins up with the Avengers in Infinity War.

http://lrmonline.com/news/marvel-hulk-will-fight-groot-at-some-point-says-vin-diesel
Speaking of which. Great idea when they pull it off. Of course this article makes a big deal about Baby Groot growing in size to fight The Hulk. Nice angle but really They push that timeline anyway they want too.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/792103-fast-8-teaser-coming#/slide/1
The studios are not wasting time promoting next years already. Since this year has pretty much tanked and besides a few top 10 the studios have basically have written this year off. Lucky Vin.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/791911-transformers-the-last-knight-trailer-released#/slide/1
Is it me or this looks tired, like been there done that. Last one by Bay Not unless it clears the Billion dollar mark in which it will and then he'll keep making more and more, WAAHHH when is it going to stop? Why Why?

Star Wars Record Breaker

Live on MNN this Saturday . Radio show postpone till next week.. Also new arranged links.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/heres-what-well-see-at-the-start-of-rogue-one-in-lieu-of-a-crawl-263
I can't believe there's now scroll. They said  it would be too long. We all know the story already, What long scroll. Talk about screwing with tradition. And who's idea was this anyhow?

Previously:
http://variety.com/2016/film/box-office/rogue-one-star-wars-story-box-office-1201929141/
So it's the second highest pre-sales of all time. And probably the biggest money maker of the year unless it's Phantom Menace bad. But no matter, Disney is still going to make stupid money.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rogue-one-writer-tony-gilroy-make-millions-reshoots-951119
Talk about stupid money, this is one lucky guy to be at the right time and place. I met Gilroy at the Apple Store a few years ago. Simple hello but was a nice guy. Whatever problems the picture had he was the right person to fix this. If this tanks (yeah right) it would be because to many chefs in the kitchen and not enought cooks, if you know what I mean.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/rumor-the-reason-why-obi-wan-hasnt-had-his-own-star-wars-spinoff-yet-172
If there's one actor who deserves a second chance in this franchise is Ewan. He  pulled off such an econic character and made it is own despite how aweful those scripts were in the Manace trilogy. Well looks like he is going to get his wish as he was pushing for this for the longest. Unlike the Han Solo, doing the recast aka Star Trek.  Lets face it as good as that cast is the shtick is getting tiring.

http://lrmonline.com/news/rampage-peyton-explains-how-his-scary-surprising-movie-will-top-other-game-adaptations
I always loved this game no matter how simple of an idea it was. (We wonder why Frank).
But read the last paragraph about how many Giant Monsters flix are coming out. Compare with Comic Book Heros we Monster fans are not getting enough. And seeing cities getting flattened to ruble never gets tired!

http://deadline.com/2016/11/star-trek-discovery-cast-doub-none-s-1201861221/
Having Doug Jones from Hellboy fame (Strain sucks) really got me curious. And what else but an alien. Now this could get interesting even tho the whole concept is really lazy. But who will be the main star. Hopefully not a miscast like Lost in Space. Don't get started.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/warners-chief-has-big-plans-for-westworld/
Read between the lines bull crap. comparing this to Games of Thrones. Talk about brainwashing an audience. I know people already tuning out of this show. Let's face it, this mishmash is nowhere like the movie. And when are they going to start showing the other world's like Roman World. The day Thandie stops taking her clothes off is the day I stop watching. "Nothing to see here, move it along."

Huge Box Office Holidays

New Radio shows coming soon. No Live on MNN this weekend, just two shows left with that.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-moana-disney-allied-bad-santa-1201925356/
Will The Rock aka Johnson break the $80 mark? Well it's got no competition. Bad Santa 1 wasn't all that and nobody was asking for this. Both Rules and Apply is something saved for Netflix. But where will Fantastic Beasts land? Will it have it's repeats from the Potter fans or get crush by The Rock.
Once was enough for me:
Fantastic Beasts Review: 2 out of 5, With all those special effects and colorful creatures, I was so bored to death with this that I couldn't wait for the movie to end. It crawled like a snail. And when that twist at the end with a certain cameo didn't help matters. Wow, big deal. I saw this cause the creatures reminded me of Ray Harryhausen's work. He was a genius. This was a disapointment.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/rogue-one-headed-for-130-150m-debut/
Great opening and again no big competition but the secret here will it have repeat business. That be a killer if the film opens to really bad reviews. From the fans that is, critics don't count here. If the fans give this a big WTF, there goes the box office.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/787997-supergirl-prepares-for-the-cw-crossover-in-new-poster#/slide/1
Now we're talking. This should be a lot of fun. That crossover with Flash and Supergirl was a good one. And of course Arrow had it's crossovers but now we got Legends of Tomorrow thrown into the mix. And Legends needs the boost as it's not doing too good with the ratings like the other shows.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/788745-logan-director-james-mangold-teases-the-grim-final-film#/slide/1
Director says "It won't be a CG F*kathon" Nope it sure won't. But it'll be a Fking trainwreck of a script tho. That trailer sucks to no end. If there's one reason to reboot a Wolverine trilogy is hoping they can write a good script and get it right the next time.

http://lrmonline.com/news/michelle-yeoh-joins-star-trek-discovery
While casting Yeoh is cool, I still can't help this is not going to help the show much. The whole going backwards in the timeline is just plain boring. It's about the future which this show won't have.
"To boldly go where we've been before" uggh.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-trek-first-contact-next-generation-crews-greatest-movie-949885
Talk about good Trek of old. Great article with interviews on the making of the movie. Interesting pictures with the Borg Queen and the make up process. This should have been put on the blu-ray for the anniversary edition.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/parker-posey-to-play-dr-smith-in-netflixs-lost-in-space-series-104
Oh hell no! This is just plain wrong. It's all about him and that robot trading insults. Here is some executive thinking he's a genius and pulls a female Ghostbusters. Actually the whole thing is miscast. Remember when they made Starbuck a female and that show sucked! Well so much for this reboot.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/legendary-acquires-film-and-tv-rights-for-the-sci-fi-epic-dune-126
Movie or TV (you notice the theme on today's blog) this is one title nobody can get right. And they still won't get it right. The books are just too massive and too many characters. This is one title that should be left alone. But nope they won't listen. The last train wreck for the day. I'm done.

Bonus:
http://moviestvnetwork.com/schedule/?date=11/25/16#calendar
This Friday, ff some of you get this channel, it's going to be Beast day with 3 Godzilla movies back to back starting at 6pm with GZ vs Mothra with Battra, GZ vs Destoroyah (that's how they spell it, lol) and last GZ vs Mechagodzilla 2002 Hensei series.

Kong. King Kong. Big Kong.

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5pm. New Blog Talk Radio Show Preview now playing.
Mini-Reviews: Hacksaw Ridge: 4, Arrival: 3

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/kong-skull-island-trailer-2-watch-947465
Finally we get the answers to most of our questions.. Mainly how big is the big guy compare to Godzilla? Since the big tag line is "From the Producers of Godzilla" I think we know where this is going. But I decided to post this one picture to headline today's blog. "Size does matter."
PS: There is still a big going argument about the match up in size. Look at the Toho film of KK vs. Godzilla. GZ does tower over KK. But the match was not a automatic wipe out, was it? Hee Hee.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/786827-kong-trailer-screenshots#/slide/1
The trailer broke down thru lots of screen shots. While all good but lets face it, why so many of the actors like they matter? If Tom is not Loki does it matter? It all comes down to Kong and the creatures doesn't it? Uh Uh. I can see Samuel reading this blog:
"Like the muthafkers actors don't matter? Who the fk think furankisan think he is, that muthafker"

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-preview-fantastic-beasts-hopes-make-magic-80m-us-debut-948202
Duh! Well this is a no brainer. And already this grossed over $200M world wide. After this, there is really nothing to challenge the box office until Rogue One. But for the Thanksgiving weekend, who ever is still in the top 10 will all cash in next weekend until Star Wars.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/doctor-strange-best-scene-was-to-be-longer/
This will be one of the many extras that will be on the Home Release (previously known as dvd/Blu-ray release). But one thing Marvel are known for is giving you more extras than DC. Ouch! Come on, 6 different versions of Suicide Squad and all we get is a few minutes of extra scenes?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/green-hornet-gets-another-reboot/
Well this makes sense. Look at the recent release of Cape Crusaders Animation and that Pizza scene which is a homage to The Stamp Scene in the Batman series '66 featuring Hornet and Kato. Something we mentioned on our live show a few weeks ago and now they wake up and go ahead with this? umm...

Doctor Strange Still No. 1

New Live on MNN this Saturday at  pm. Blog Talk Radio show before that.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-arrival-doctor-strange-trolls-post-election-946299
Well the Doc lasted pretty damn good for two weekends in a roll but he'll be no match for The Beast this coming Friday. Those Potter fans are just too damn faithful to the franchise, Lucky Eddie for sure. Check out the little mini-video with stats for the weekend.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/785979-strange-stephane-ceretti#/slide/1
Interview with the SFX crew but doesn't include any video with green screen techniques which could have use it. But still a good article for you die hards.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-negans-alexandria-visit-was-same-as-comics-one-big-difference-947103
Interesting comparison between the comic and the show. But I can't wait to see Negan get it. The character is so annoying. Shame that Jeffrey Dean Morgan didn't do better after The Watchmen, such a great actor even tho he had just a cameo in BvsS, whats up with that?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/westworld-renewed-second-season-at-hbo-may-not-return-2018-937868
Don't let theose numbers fool you. It's lower than the usual ratings compare to other shows. Again trying to save face. Why delay then to 2018. More script problems. And the big clue actor Ed Harris is only up for 2 seasons playing The Gunman in Black, the big highlight in the movie version played by Yul Brynner. This got started off the wrong foot to begin with and should go by the way of Vinyl, another stinker which mercifully got canceled after one season. Wow that show was awful.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/dreamworks-animation-universal-kill-croods-2-sequel-1201916453/
This made no sense whatsoever. Killing a franchise even before you got to a trilogy. And we all know Nic Cage could have used this for his career. He's got way to many straight to home releases on the market and could have used a theatre release to keep things going. Just strange.

Hey It's Kong!

No Live on MNN this weekend. Radio show coming soon.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/784889-first-look-at-kong-skull-islands-new-king-kong#/slide/
Finally we get to see the big guy.. Great news is that we don't have to wait almost 2 hours to see "the monster" like other movies including Godzilla 2014. But they don't mention how big he is if the 2 big icons are going to match up.

http://www.slashfilm.com/pacific-rim-2-title/
Here was the problem with the first film. It was too bloated. Subplots about people we couldn't care less about. Keep it simple and just have the robots fight the Kaiju while keeping the film short. As far as the title how about "Robotos Kick Kaiju Ass" who the hell cares about the title, just get the damn thing made already. Now if they can tie this up with Godzilla and King Kong that would be one hell of a franchise.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/784523-michael-keaton-confirmed-as-the-vulture-in-spider-man-homecoming#/slide/1
Well it's about time we get The Vulture and for Keaton. After both Ben Kingsley and John Malkovich tried those outfits and the previous movies never getting made, you wonder why was it so hard to get this character onto the big screen. Oh yeah, I forgot. Suits running Hollywood. Which brings me to...

http://www.darkhorizons.com/warners-chief-talks-fixing-the-dc-films/
Suits who have no idea how to handle one of their great properties. It's more like a joke really. Maybe if they talked to  Kevin Fiege they can figure things out, lol. Nope not with their egos like that's going to happen.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/eddie-redmayne-auditioned-to-play-kylo-ren-in-star-wars-the-force-awakens-378
This guy can act and he deserves that Oscar. But lets face it, Star Wars is not about great acting. At this point does it matter who acts in these things And I still don't like that Kylo Ren character anyways. Talk about a spoiled brat.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/now-you-see-me-3-nabs-san-andreas-2-writers-228-02
This doesn't make any sense. Why do a three when most agree the second film wasn't all that, bit a of stretch with everything, and didn't do all that well at the boxoffice. Talk about not letting go of a franchise.

http://tvline.com/2016/11/07/robert-de-niro-julianne-moore-amazon-drama-series-order/
How much can a mafia crime series cost. Well a lot apparently. This is crazy money but they got Oscar winners in this and that makes a difference. And lets face it, this is where Deniro belongs instead of those quick cash ins that he's been doing lately. Another Soprano in the cards? Lets see.

Doctor Strange No. 1

New Blog Talk Radio coming this week. Live on MNN now playing on YouTube.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/doctor-strange-box-office-marvel-1201911087/
On track with $85M. Next two weeks is going to matter if it can hold its own with Arrival next weekend then Beasts the week after that. On ething for sure they will all clean up on Thanksgiving weekend for those who haven't seen these yet. Here's hoping for Mel Gibson for his war flick.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/784041-doctor-strange-easter-eggs#/slide/1
Cool  minute video with some easter eggs. Already there is some deleted scenes by the directors mention. I love what he says at the end. Marvel are artists. Not like some other money hungry studios. Pick one, lol.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/doctor-strange-end-screenwriter-explains-twist-944334
Spoilers on the future of the MCU story line. Good interview even tho rather short.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/wonder-woman-reshoots-in-two-weeks/
While this is business as usual with reshoots on big productions, I love the zingers when they mention Suicide Sqaud and Rogue One. ouch, lol.

http://variety.com/2016/film/in-contention/oscars-fences-denzel-washington-viola-davis-1201910844/
While a lot of films are being mentioned for Oscar aka Brad Pitts WW2 flick, it looke like hands down for Denzel as the leading Nomination for Best Picture. Lets face it, just a few week and there's nothing out there so why not.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/max-landis-to-write-direct-a-remake-of-an-american-werewolf-in-london-216
This was one of my choices for best Halloween movies on our live show highlighting the 90 minute doumentary recently done for the Blu-ray edition. Is a remake necessary? Daddy Landis did right it the first time. Why?

Doctor Strange Big B.O. Weekend

Note: This blog will be updated on Friday due to work load with box office prediction for the Doc.
Live on MNN this Saturday at pm.  New Blog Talk Radio show now playing: Halloween show.
Bonus video below links: The Doctor in NYC behind the scenes.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-doctor-strange-trolls-hacksaw-ridge-weekend-projections-943606
Posted on Wednesday already this article is off on their predictions. Now it's looking at $85M for the weekend. And it deserves it. Saw it last night. Wow, didn't think they pulled it off. And this is not one of my favorite characters from the MCU. One for the collection on Blu-ray.

Mini-review: 4 out of 5. Cumberbatch is Strange. Fellow cast is great. SFX should be nominated for Oscar. Only peev: His training reminds me of Batman Begins. Just a little. Stay for credits to see post scene of conversation with other Avenger!

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-movies-how-important-are-directors-944030
Yep it's Marvel running the show aka Kevin Feige and not the directors is why Edgar Wright left Ant-man. But this works for the film as Feige at least has a vision. Something that would not work for Warner's since the suits in charge don't have a clue what to do with DCU. So it's left to the directors to have that vision which has turned into mixed results.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/stars-getting-rich-fan-conventions-933062
Mentioned on the previous live and radios shows. It's lists Chris Evan (Caps) and Norman Reedus (Dead) making as much as $500,000. Check out the third paragraph. Mind numbing.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/reality-takes-a-backseat-in-extended-doctor-strange-clip-273
This is going to be huge after all the let downs in the past couple of weeks. And on top of that it has no competition. But the big surpirse will be that this is not one of the top titles in the MCU and will clean up big time. Just ask overseas where it's doing a killing.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/johnny-depp-joins-fantastic-beasts-2/
Let me guess, he's going to play a creature with a whole lot of makeup on. The movie didn't openup yet, they got the sequel in mind (of course with Rowlings behind the scenes) and now they mention it's going to be five films all together. FIVE? Why stop there, didn't Potts get 7?.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/dc-tv-earns-big-for-warner-brothers/
Talk about a double edge sword. Sure it's great for Warners to have all these hits on TV. Sure the franchise makes them $1 Billion a year. But we all know that's NOT what they wanted with Marvel making Trillions of dollars on their franchise. Especially with that Flash news with directors quitting on the film. Ironic that's for sure.

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/don-marshall-dead-dies-star-trek-1201906360/
Part of my childhood growing up. And of course on some of my favorite shows and episodes.
Land of the Giants and his guest appearance on Star Trek Galileo to name a few. I forgot he was on The Thing with 2 Heads (less said the better) and Uptown Saturday Night (starring Bill Cosby, less said the better) directed by Sidney Pointier, legendary actor turned director back in the 190's. Those were the days.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/schwarzenegger-chan-hauer-join-viy-2/
Hear that Hollywood? Russian-Chinese Production with 3 top stars from the hey day. But the story sounds fun but I can't believe they getting away with that title. Sounds like a machine part.

Bonus:
Taking a break from filming in NYC. Story to tell from a fellow background actor who was there, on the live show.

Madea Wins Halloween

New Blog Talk Radio show now playing: Halloween 2016. New Live on MNN this Saturday.
John Carpenter Live plays Halloween Theme video, posted below links.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-why-inferno-flamed-4-hard-lessons-fall-2016-942736
All these excuses on why the fall box office has failed. I'll make it simpler: "Is this movie worth going to and spend $101 bucks or should I wait for home release aka Redbox or Netflix" DUH!

Previously:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/weekend-box-office-report-october-28-30-2016-769
Madea Rocks! Finally justice at the B.O. where 2 Oscar winners couldn't beat a guy in a dress. Pretty funny when you think about it. We love Hanks and Howard but when a movie stinks, it stinks as Inferno does. But they are making their money overseas anyways where as Madea is not big overseas, so it's great Tyler Perry is No. 1 two weekends in a row.
Mini-Review: 3 out of 5. The laughs were there and we see both Madea and Perry in the same scenes via split screen which adds to the story. And a slick funny ending with a lesson to be told. If only Perry edited it down a bit as a ran longer than it should have. Oh well, next time.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/george-a-romero-says-brad-pitt-killed-zombie-genre-942559
The original Zombie Director. Funny how he's kind of annoyed with Pitt and Walking Dead. While he mentions other films he doesn't mention the Italian films that cashed in the 190's. Too many to mention but they were kind of fun. . One that G Del Toro loves is Zombie. Check that one out.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/westworld-orgy-scene-explained-942103
This was the big deal when they were looking for actors to be in explicit nude scenes. Yep they admit they got some idea  from Kubricks Eyes Wide Shut. Translation. YAWN!, Wow how can a nude scene be so friggin boring. As far as the rest of the show, less said the better. Even the producers are wondering....check out the next link.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/hbo-close-to-westworld-renewal/
I thought they had this figured out and committed to a 5 year season story arc. Talk about a turn about. That other show "Vinyl" really scared HBO didn't it. That price tag doesn't help matters either.

Bonus: John Carpenter Live! Halloween Theme.

Holiday Movie Previews

New Radio Blog show coming Soon.
Update:
http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-inferno-tom-hanks-1201903370/
So Inferno is going to have a hard time tobe No. 1. While Cruise films was Meh people still love Madea for Halloween. So will Madea still claim that spot We'll find enough tomorrow.

Mini-Reviews:
Jack Rachear 2: 2 out of 5. Same old tired macho flix  Been there done that. BUT better than...
Inferno: 1 out of 5. Didn't like the first two. So damn over rated (also got 1's). But you couldn't care less about saving the human race in this one. At the end you wish very one got it including the producers of this boring crap.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/779881-holiday-movies#/slide/1
Lets face it. Big one for the season is Rogue One that everyone is looking forward to. But those reshoots didn't help maters and even Disney made that statement about not being big at the boxoffice like The Force Awakens. But how about the others?

My Picks:
Rougue One: Duh regardless if Garath screwed this up.
Hacksaw Ridge: Mel is back directing. Loved Apocalypto, very underrated.
Arrival: Where ID2 failed but this time are chilling? Well it's got Amy Adams. Good enough.
Passengers: Sci-fi with Chris Patt. Sounds good. (I know, what a coup out).
Monster's Call: Where BFG failed but maybe a giant tree will do better.

Honorable mentions:
Billy Lynns Walk: Ang Lee and Vin Diesel in the same movie. Well that's different.
Fantastic Beasts: NYC in the 1920's with great effects. (I know JK Rowlings franchise again)
Rules Don't Apply: Dick Tracy playing Howard Hughes with a Young Han Solo. But Beatty knows Directing and that Scorsese Bio film sucked. Beatty also came close to being Superman too.
More on the rest of December on the next blog.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/bryan-fuller-as-star-trek-discovery-showrunner-941587
Not a good sign for the production. Yeah sure he still gets to keep his Executive Producer Credit but when it comes to the writers room meetings, he won't be able to say jack. So if the other producers want to go to left field out of nowhere, they can do it without any complaints. Which is going to happen once they did that. Again not a good sign for the show.

http://www.thewrap.com/toy-story-4-incredibles-2-swap-release-dates/
Finally we're getting Incredibles, a superhero movie 10 years late. But at least it's finally getting made. And you can never get tired of a new Toy Story. And hopefully Pixar will give these sequels a break and come out with more original stories. That's what the sequels are for. To genenrate enough money to make new films. Well that's the logic but not with Hollywood of course.

Walking Dead Big Ratings

New Radio Show coming on Blog Talk Radio this week along with a new blog, just before Halloween. Live on MNN Halloween One Hour Edition Post below in bonus section:

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/the-walking-dead-season-7-premiere-ratings-1201899174/
2nd biggest opener for the show which is really surprising for this season opener. Well I didn't see those two kills coming. Well Glenn was rumour for the longest which is the one I heard about if you saw our Live on MNN show but Red getting it was a big surprise. What a sad show considering it's a Zombie show for crying out loud. The thing that got to me was Glenn almost got eaten quite a few times thru the seasons only to get a baseball to the head. Bummer. More on the radio show.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-jack-reacher-940259
Cruise got owned by Madea. Wow that's embarrassing, lol. And a difference of $5M between them. Luckily Jack Reacher is a big hit overseas meaning we might gt another one which will bomb over here. Like it doesn't matter anyways.

http://www.thewrap.com/inside-the-deadpool-2-fight-over-two-totally-different-movies/
Got to give it to Reynolds for this one. He's the one that struggled for 11 years to get it done and on a cheap scale which helped the movie big time. Having it made like big blockbuster with a $150M budget and it would have turn it into an overblown, over bloated generic movie which in a long run would have been a mess. I'm looking at you DC! ...that's right I said it! (no hate mails please, thx u, lol).

http://www.darkhorizons.com/period-tone-details-of-new-friday-the-13th/
For crying out loud leave this alone already. Even the producers can't make up their mind what to do with this even when they got the script. Never a good sign. And look how long it took to actually getting aroundto getting this one made. Another bad sign. Poor Jason, no respect.

Update:
http://www.darkhorizons.com/uwe-boll-is-done-with-making-movies/
See ya. He should have quite a long time ago. But he does prove a point on the status of movies now a days where corporations just want to make movies to clear a the bottom line. He should have gotten his Ferrari and Yacht then.

Bonus:
Live on MNN Halloween Special, One Hour Edition.

Creature Features On MNN

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5pm: mnn.org ..The Big Halloween Show, but before that....
New Blog Talk Radio Postponed till next week: The Big Halloween Show Pt. 1.

Update:
Watching Krampus dvd again but this time with dvd commentary. Full review on both the radio show and live MNN. One of these writers did Superman Returns. Yes I'm very concern hence why I'm listening to the commentary tonite.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/krampus-screenwriters-will-tackle-godzilla-2-243
While this is great news for us Giant Creature fans and building a franchise out of this, why on earth did they hire these guys.  While Krampus was not a bad b-movie, it had it's moments based on the Xmas mythology, this is a bit of  a stretch for the KKvGZ universe. They must have come cheap. But when they are setting up a writer's room it's a win win for us fans.

So the rumour on the internet that this clip is better than his latest film. Well I thought the first Jack Reacher was a fkin bore I'm def not interested in the new one. But wow, Corden rocks it with this montage. And Cruise looks like he does have a great time doing this. Even better.

Is it me or does this look boring. It seems like the whole movie is explained in the trailer. Both Jackman and Stewart look like they want to be back on Broadway instead of being in this film.

Why? Well at least they mention Ray Harryhausen which is the best adaption. But there were so many others not mention in this article so why bother?

Didn't they learn from Burton last try at this? And where can they take this. Once you get the Golden Ticket that's it. Unless they find a new breed of spoiled brats. Wait, that sounds like Hollywood.

Wow what a let down of a review. Well in defense Fox studios where going to remake this as a major feature. But instead decided to ride the "Live on TV" aspect. In a way that's good cause let's face it, it's cult classic and remaking this would be a disaster. So let's take this angle and be done with it.

Bonus: By request, some like when I add this so here goes regardless of subject matter:

This covers the top ten on both Blu-ray and DVD sales and rentals. At first look it can be a little bit confusing but it does show fans taste on their movies. But Ghostbusters? who knew? And I actually like it. Who knew? lol.

Batman does it again, I mean Affleck, at the box office considering what a slow Fall season it's been.
A Kevin Hart does it with 3 wins this year especially with "Pets" hitting the top 50 of the year at the box office. Shame can't be said for Max Steel. Who? Exactly.

Already renewed and we still don't know who gets the Baseball bat. This article does mention the comic book where Negan beats Glenn to death but they have been changing some of the concepts from the comic compared to the show. So who knows. And didn't they 'killed of Glenn" before?
All I know they kill of Needus this show is over, lol.

While we have Disney braggng about this, they still don't that much hope for RogueOne, which is really strange. Or that they know it can't compete with Force Awakens as far as the money goes. But if anyone should be concern with this should be Sony and Fox with their X-men and F4 franchises go. Disney one day will own all this so don't be surprise kiddies.

Translation: Emmerich was hoping for this franchise to last and so know he's talking about tv/cable like War of the Worlds? I backed ID sequel and was pissed off how bad it was. I'm still having problems with HBO Westworld so ID and War Worlds can both take a break as far as I'm concern.

New Rogue One Trailer News

New Radio show coming very soon: "The Big Catching Up Show." No Live on MNN this weekend.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/trailer-rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-1201887809/
Wowo over $30M in reshoots just to get this right. But is it worth it What, with a cameo by Darth Vadar? Hell Yeah! Still don't get Disney actually not having faith in this with that statement it's not goin to be as successful as Force Awakens. Man that is troubling to say the least.

This includes 69 screenshots broken down from the trailer. Great to choose from for you gadgets, I know I use them too.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-ben-afflecks-937968
CAn Batman save the boxoffice this weekend. Only if he wears the cape. And to think that over 2 years ago his name was mention and the internet was going to hell in a hand basket.
"Affleck as Batman? Noooooooooo!" How things change. Now do we want to see him as an accountant. Well if anyone can pull it off it's Affleck. If the material doesn't fail him that is.

http://screenrant.com/kong-skull-island-nycc-poster-godzilla-connections/
With Shin Gojira playing in theaters now (nope haven't seen it yet) it figures they try to tie this in somehow with the American Godzilla and King Kong. More of a tease than anything else as it barely mentions how they are going to have to giants fight it out. But it's good to know it's coming our way down the line.

http://lrmonline.com/news/breaking-news-fantastic-beasts-and-where-to-find-them-will-have-5-movies
For crying out loud the film hasn't even come out and already they jumping on the franchise band wagon. I hope this crashes and burn and leave the studio broke. It's this very obnoxious point of view is why they are losing theater goers. Ain't JK rich enough? Back to Netflix binging is all I can say.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/war-worlds-tv-series-works-938112
Why? Only the original from the 1950's is the true classic and even if Spielberg did put alot of things in from the book in his remake of the film, it still sucked compare to the classic. And forget about a tv series. It's been done along with other remakes and they still screwed it up. Something so simple by HG Wells and still can't get it right. The desperation just reeks from milking the title alone.

Bonus: So you made it down this far below the links. In case you missed this from the last blog:
