Star Wars Record Breaker

Live on MNN this Saturday . Radio show postpone till next week.. Also new arranged links.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/heres-what-well-see-at-the-start-of-rogue-one-in-lieu-of-a-crawl-263
I can't believe there's now scroll. They said  it would be too long. We all know the story already, What long scroll. Talk about screwing with tradition. And who's idea was this anyhow?

Previously:

So it's the second highest pre-sales of all time. And probably the biggest money maker of the year unless it's Phantom Menace bad. But no matter, Disney is still going to make stupid money.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/rogue-one-writer-tony-gilroy-make-millions-reshoots-951119
Talk about stupid money, this is one lucky guy to be at the right time and place. I met Gilroy at the Apple Store a few years ago. Simple hello but was a nice guy. Whatever problems the picture had he was the right person to fix this. If this tanks (yeah right) it would be because to many chefs in the kitchen and not enought cooks, if you know what I mean.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/rumor-the-reason-why-obi-wan-hasnt-had-his-own-star-wars-spinoff-yet-172
If there's one actor who deserves a second chance in this franchise is Ewan. He  pulled off such an econic character and made it is own despite how aweful those scripts were in the Manace trilogy. Well looks like he is going to get his wish as he was pushing for this for the longest. Unlike the Han Solo, doing the recast aka Star Trek.  Lets face it as good as that cast is the shtick is getting tiring.

http://lrmonline.com/news/rampage-peyton-explains-how-his-scary-surprising-movie-will-top-other-game-adaptations
I always loved this game no matter how simple of an idea it was. (We wonder why Frank).
But read the last paragraph about how many Giant Monsters flix are coming out. Compare with Comic Book Heros we Monster fans are not getting enough. And seeing cities getting flattened to ruble never gets tired!

http://deadline.com/2016/11/star-trek-discovery-cast-doub-none-s-1201861221/
Having Doug Jones from Hellboy fame (Strain sucks) really got me curious. And what else but an alien. Now this could get interesting even tho the whole concept is really lazy. But who will be the main star. Hopefully not a miscast like Lost in Space. Don't get started.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/warners-chief-has-big-plans-for-westworld/
Read between the lines bull crap. comparing this to Games of Thrones. Talk about brainwashing an audience. I know people already tuning out of this show. Let's face it, this mishmash is nowhere like the movie. And when are they going to start showing the other world's like Roman World. The day Thandie stops taking her clothes off is the day I stop watching. "Nothing to see here, move it along."

Huge Box Office Holidays

New Radio shows coming soon. No Live on MNN this weekend, just two shows left with that.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-moana-disney-allied-bad-santa-1201925356/
Will The Rock aka Johnson break the $80 mark? Well it's got no competition. Bad Santa 1 wasn't all that and nobody was asking for this. Both Rules and Apply is something saved for Netflix. But where will Fantastic Beasts land? Will it have it's repeats from the Potter fans or get crush by The Rock.
Once was enough for me:
Fantastic Beasts Review: 2 out of 5, With all those special effects and colorful creatures, I was so bored to death with this that I couldn't wait for the movie to end. It crawled like a snail. And when that twist at the end with a certain cameo didn't help matters. Wow, big deal. I saw this cause the creatures reminded me of Ray Harryhausen's work. He was a genius. This was a disapointment.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/rogue-one-headed-for-130-150m-debut/
Great opening and again no big competition but the secret here will it have repeat business. That be a killer if the film opens to really bad reviews. From the fans that is, critics don't count here. If the fans give this a big WTF, there goes the box office.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/787997-supergirl-prepares-for-the-cw-crossover-in-new-poster#/slide/1
Now we're talking. This should be a lot of fun. That crossover with Flash and Supergirl was a good one. And of course Arrow had it's crossovers but now we got Legends of Tomorrow thrown into the mix. And Legends needs the boost as it's not doing too good with the ratings like the other shows.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/788745-logan-director-james-mangold-teases-the-grim-final-film#/slide/1
Director says "It won't be a CG F*kathon" Nope it sure won't. But it'll be a Fking trainwreck of a script tho. That trailer sucks to no end. If there's one reason to reboot a Wolverine trilogy is hoping they can write a good script and get it right the next time.

http://lrmonline.com/news/michelle-yeoh-joins-star-trek-discovery
While casting Yeoh is cool, I still can't help this is not going to help the show much. The whole going backwards in the timeline is just plain boring. It's about the future which this show won't have.
"To boldly go where we've been before" uggh.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/star-trek-first-contact-next-generation-crews-greatest-movie-949885
Talk about good Trek of old. Great article with interviews on the making of the movie. Interesting pictures with the Borg Queen and the make up process. This should have been put on the blu-ray for the anniversary edition.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/parker-posey-to-play-dr-smith-in-netflixs-lost-in-space-series-104
Oh hell no! This is just plain wrong. It's all about him and that robot trading insults. Here is some executive thinking he's a genius and pulls a female Ghostbusters. Actually the whole thing is miscast. Remember when they made Starbuck a female and that show sucked! Well so much for this reboot.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/legendary-acquires-film-and-tv-rights-for-the-sci-fi-epic-dune-126
Movie or TV (you notice the theme on today's blog) this is one title nobody can get right. And they still won't get it right. The books are just too massive and too many characters. This is one title that should be left alone. But nope they won't listen. The last train wreck for the day. I'm done.

Bonus:

Kong. King Kong. Big Kong.

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5pm. New Blog Talk Radio Show Preview now playing.
Mini-Reviews: Hacksaw Ridge: 4, Arrival: 3

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/kong-skull-island-trailer-2-watch-947465
Finally we get the answers to most of our questions.. Mainly how big is the big guy compare to Godzilla? Since the big tag line is "From the Producers of Godzilla" I think we know where this is going. But I decided to post this one picture to headline today's blog. "Size does matter."
PS: There is still a big going argument about the match up in size. Look at the Toho film of KK vs. Godzilla. GZ does tower over KK. But the match was not a automatic wipe out, was it? Hee Hee.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/786827-kong-trailer-screenshots#/slide/1
The trailer broke down thru lots of screen shots. While all good but lets face it, why so many of the actors like they matter? If Tom is not Loki does it matter? It all comes down to Kong and the creatures doesn't it? Uh Uh. I can see Samuel reading this blog:
"Like the muthafkers actors don't matter? Who the fk think furankisan think he is, that muthafker"

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-preview-fantastic-beasts-hopes-make-magic-80m-us-debut-948202
Duh! Well this is a no brainer. And already this grossed over $200M world wide. After this, there is really nothing to challenge the box office until Rogue One. But for the Thanksgiving weekend, who ever is still in the top 10 will all cash in next weekend until Star Wars.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/doctor-strange-best-scene-was-to-be-longer/
This will be one of the many extras that will be on the Home Release (previously known as dvd/Blu-ray release). But one thing Marvel are known for is giving you more extras than DC. Ouch! Come on, 6 different versions of Suicide Squad and all we get is a few minutes of extra scenes?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/green-hornet-gets-another-reboot/
Well this makes sense. Look at the recent release of Cape Crusaders Animation and that Pizza scene which is a homage to The Stamp Scene in the Batman series '66 featuring Hornet and Kato. Something we mentioned on our live show a few weeks ago and now they wake up and go ahead with this? umm...

Doctor Strange Still No. 1

New Live on MNN this Saturday at  pm. Blog Talk Radio show before that.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-arrival-doctor-strange-trolls-post-election-946299
Well the Doc lasted pretty damn good for two weekends in a roll but he'll be no match for The Beast this coming Friday. Those Potter fans are just too damn faithful to the franchise, Lucky Eddie for sure. Check out the little mini-video with stats for the weekend.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/785979-strange-stephane-ceretti#/slide/1
Interview with the SFX crew but doesn't include any video with green screen techniques which could have use it. But still a good article for you die hards.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-negans-alexandria-visit-was-same-as-comics-one-big-difference-947103
Interesting comparison between the comic and the show. But I can't wait to see Negan get it. The character is so annoying. Shame that Jeffrey Dean Morgan didn't do better after The Watchmen, such a great actor even tho he had just a cameo in BvsS, whats up with that?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/westworld-renewed-second-season-at-hbo-may-not-return-2018-937868
Don't let theose numbers fool you. It's lower than the usual ratings compare to other shows. Again trying to save face. Why delay then to 2018. More script problems. And the big clue actor Ed Harris is only up for 2 seasons playing The Gunman in Black, the big highlight in the movie version played by Yul Brynner. This got started off the wrong foot to begin with and should go by the way of Vinyl, another stinker which mercifully got canceled after one season. Wow that show was awful.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/dreamworks-animation-universal-kill-croods-2-sequel-1201916453/
This made no sense whatsoever. Killing a franchise even before you got to a trilogy. And we all know Nic Cage could have used this for his career. He's got way to many straight to home releases on the market and could have used a theatre release to keep things going. Just strange.

Hey It's Kong!

No Live on MNN this weekend. Radio show coming soon.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/784889-first-look-at-kong-skull-islands-new-king-kong#/slide/
Finally we get to see the big guy.. Great news is that we don't have to wait almost 2 hours to see "the monster" like other movies including Godzilla 2014. But they don't mention how big he is if the 2 big icons are going to match up.

http://www.slashfilm.com/pacific-rim-2-title/
Here was the problem with the first film. It was too bloated. Subplots about people we couldn't care less about. Keep it simple and just have the robots fight the Kaiju while keeping the film short. As far as the title how about "Robotos Kick Kaiju Ass" who the hell cares about the title, just get the damn thing made already. Now if they can tie this up with Godzilla and King Kong that would be one hell of a franchise.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/784523-michael-keaton-confirmed-as-the-vulture-in-spider-man-homecoming#/slide/1
Well it's about time we get The Vulture and for Keaton. After both Ben Kingsley and John Malkovich tried those outfits and the previous movies never getting made, you wonder why was it so hard to get this character onto the big screen. Oh yeah, I forgot. Suits running Hollywood. Which brings me to...

http://www.darkhorizons.com/warners-chief-talks-fixing-the-dc-films/
Suits who have no idea how to handle one of their great properties. It's more like a joke really. Maybe if they talked to  Kevin Fiege they can figure things out, lol. Nope not with their egos like that's going to happen.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/eddie-redmayne-auditioned-to-play-kylo-ren-in-star-wars-the-force-awakens-378
This guy can act and he deserves that Oscar. But lets face it, Star Wars is not about great acting. At this point does it matter who acts in these things And I still don't like that Kylo Ren character anyways. Talk about a spoiled brat.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/now-you-see-me-3-nabs-san-andreas-2-writers-228-02
This doesn't make any sense. Why do a three when most agree the second film wasn't all that, bit a of stretch with everything, and didn't do all that well at the boxoffice. Talk about not letting go of a franchise.

http://tvline.com/2016/11/07/robert-de-niro-julianne-moore-amazon-drama-series-order/
How much can a mafia crime series cost. Well a lot apparently. This is crazy money but they got Oscar winners in this and that makes a difference. And lets face it, this is where Deniro belongs instead of those quick cash ins that he's been doing lately. Another Soprano in the cards? Lets see.

Doctor Strange No. 1

New Blog Talk Radio coming this week. Live on MNN now playing on YouTube.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/doctor-strange-box-office-marvel-1201911087/
On track with $85M. Next two weeks is going to matter if it can hold its own with Arrival next weekend then Beasts the week after that. On ething for sure they will all clean up on Thanksgiving weekend for those who haven't seen these yet. Here's hoping for Mel Gibson for his war flick.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/784041-doctor-strange-easter-eggs#/slide/1
Cool  minute video with some easter eggs. Already there is some deleted scenes by the directors mention. I love what he says at the end. Marvel are artists. Not like some other money hungry studios. Pick one, lol.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/doctor-strange-end-screenwriter-explains-twist-944334
Spoilers on the future of the MCU story line. Good interview even tho rather short.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/wonder-woman-reshoots-in-two-weeks/
While this is business as usual with reshoots on big productions, I love the zingers when they mention Suicide Sqaud and Rogue One. ouch, lol.

http://variety.com/2016/film/in-contention/oscars-fences-denzel-washington-viola-davis-1201910844/
While a lot of films are being mentioned for Oscar aka Brad Pitts WW2 flick, it looke like hands down for Denzel as the leading Nomination for Best Picture. Lets face it, just a few week and there's nothing out there so why not.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/max-landis-to-write-direct-a-remake-of-an-american-werewolf-in-london-216
This was one of my choices for best Halloween movies on our live show highlighting the 90 minute doumentary recently done for the Blu-ray edition. Is a remake necessary? Daddy Landis did right it the first time. Why?

Doctor Strange Big B.O. Weekend

Note: This blog will be updated on Friday due to work load with box office prediction for the Doc.
Live on MNN this Saturday at pm.  New Blog Talk Radio show now playing: Halloween show.
Bonus video below links: The Doctor in NYC behind the scenes.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-doctor-strange-trolls-hacksaw-ridge-weekend-projections-943606
Posted on Wednesday already this article is off on their predictions. Now it's looking at $85M for the weekend. And it deserves it. Saw it last night. Wow, didn't think they pulled it off. And this is not one of my favorite characters from the MCU. One for the collection on Blu-ray.

Mini-review: 4 out of 5. Cumberbatch is Strange. Fellow cast is great. SFX should be nominated for Oscar. Only peev: His training reminds me of Batman Begins. Just a little. Stay for credits to see post scene of conversation with other Avenger!

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-movies-how-important-are-directors-944030
Yep it's Marvel running the show aka Kevin Feige and not the directors is why Edgar Wright left Ant-man. But this works for the film as Feige at least has a vision. Something that would not work for Warner's since the suits in charge don't have a clue what to do with DCU. So it's left to the directors to have that vision which has turned into mixed results.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/stars-getting-rich-fan-conventions-933062
Mentioned on the previous live and radios shows. It's lists Chris Evan (Caps) and Norman Reedus (Dead) making as much as $500,000. Check out the third paragraph. Mind numbing.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/reality-takes-a-backseat-in-extended-doctor-strange-clip-273
This is going to be huge after all the let downs in the past couple of weeks. And on top of that it has no competition. But the big surpirse will be that this is not one of the top titles in the MCU and will clean up big time. Just ask overseas where it's doing a killing.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/johnny-depp-joins-fantastic-beasts-2/
Let me guess, he's going to play a creature with a whole lot of makeup on. The movie didn't openup yet, they got the sequel in mind (of course with Rowlings behind the scenes) and now they mention it's going to be five films all together. FIVE? Why stop there, didn't Potts get 7?.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/dc-tv-earns-big-for-warner-brothers/
Talk about a double edge sword. Sure it's great for Warners to have all these hits on TV. Sure the franchise makes them $1 Billion a year. But we all know that's NOT what they wanted with Marvel making Trillions of dollars on their franchise. Especially with that Flash news with directors quitting on the film. Ironic that's for sure.

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/don-marshall-dead-dies-star-trek-1201906360/
Part of my childhood growing up. And of course on some of my favorite shows and episodes.
Land of the Giants and his guest appearance on Star Trek Galileo to name a few. I forgot he was on The Thing with 2 Heads (less said the better) and Uptown Saturday Night (starring Bill Cosby, less said the better) directed by Sidney Pointier, legendary actor turned director back in the 190's. Those were the days.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/schwarzenegger-chan-hauer-join-viy-2/
Hear that Hollywood? Russian-Chinese Production with 3 top stars from the hey day. But the story sounds fun but I can't believe they getting away with that title. Sounds like a machine part.

Bonus:
Taking a break from filming in NYC. Story to tell from a fellow background actor who was there, on the live show.

Madea Wins Halloween

New Blog Talk Radio show now playing: Halloween 2016. New Live on MNN this Saturday.
John Carpenter Live plays Halloween Theme video, posted below links.

Update:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-why-inferno-flamed-4-hard-lessons-fall-2016-942736
All these excuses on why the fall box office has failed. I'll make it simpler: "Is this movie worth going to and spend $101 bucks or should I wait for home release aka Redbox or Netflix" DUH!

Previously:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/weekend-box-office-report-october-28-30-2016-769
Madea Rocks! Finally justice at the B.O. where 2 Oscar winners couldn't beat a guy in a dress. Pretty funny when you think about it. We love Hanks and Howard but when a movie stinks, it stinks as Inferno does. But they are making their money overseas anyways where as Madea is not big overseas, so it's great Tyler Perry is No. 1 two weekends in a row.
Mini-Review: 3 out of 5. The laughs were there and we see both Madea and Perry in the same scenes via split screen which adds to the story. And a slick funny ending with a lesson to be told. If only Perry edited it down a bit as a ran longer than it should have. Oh well, next time.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/george-a-romero-says-brad-pitt-killed-zombie-genre-942559
The original Zombie Director. Funny how he's kind of annoyed with Pitt and Walking Dead. While he mentions other films he doesn't mention the Italian films that cashed in the 190's. Too many to mention but they were kind of fun. . One that G Del Toro loves is Zombie. Check that one out.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/westworld-orgy-scene-explained-942103
This was the big deal when they were looking for actors to be in explicit nude scenes. Yep they admit they got some idea  from Kubricks Eyes Wide Shut. Translation. YAWN!, Wow how can a nude scene be so friggin boring. As far as the rest of the show, less said the better. Even the producers are wondering....check out the next link.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/hbo-close-to-westworld-renewal/
I thought they had this figured out and committed to a 5 year season story arc. Talk about a turn about. That other show "Vinyl" really scared HBO didn't it. That price tag doesn't help matters either.

Bonus: John Carpenter Live! Halloween Theme.

Holiday Movie Previews

New Radio Blog show coming Soon.
Update:
http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-inferno-tom-hanks-1201903370/
So Inferno is going to have a hard time tobe No. 1. While Cruise films was Meh people still love Madea for Halloween. So will Madea still claim that spot We'll find enough tomorrow.

Mini-Reviews:
Jack Rachear 2: 2 out of 5. Same old tired macho flix  Been there done that. BUT better than...
Inferno: 1 out of 5. Didn't like the first two. So damn over rated (also got 1's). But you couldn't care less about saving the human race in this one. At the end you wish very one got it including the producers of this boring crap.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/features/779881-holiday-movies#/slide/1
Lets face it. Big one for the season is Rogue One that everyone is looking forward to. But those reshoots didn't help maters and even Disney made that statement about not being big at the boxoffice like The Force Awakens. But how about the others?

My Picks:
Rougue One: Duh regardless if Garath screwed this up.
Hacksaw Ridge: Mel is back directing. Loved Apocalypto, very underrated.
Arrival: Where ID2 failed but this time are chilling? Well it's got Amy Adams. Good enough.
Passengers: Sci-fi with Chris Patt. Sounds good. (I know, what a coup out).
Monster's Call: Where BFG failed but maybe a giant tree will do better.

Honorable mentions:
Billy Lynns Walk: Ang Lee and Vin Diesel in the same movie. Well that's different.
Fantastic Beasts: NYC in the 1920's with great effects. (I know JK Rowlings franchise again)
Rules Don't Apply: Dick Tracy playing Howard Hughes with a Young Han Solo. But Beatty knows Directing and that Scorsese Bio film sucked. Beatty also came close to being Superman too.
More on the rest of December on the next blog.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/bryan-fuller-as-star-trek-discovery-showrunner-941587
Not a good sign for the production. Yeah sure he still gets to keep his Executive Producer Credit but when it comes to the writers room meetings, he won't be able to say jack. So if the other producers want to go to left field out of nowhere, they can do it without any complaints. Which is going to happen once they did that. Again not a good sign for the show.

http://www.thewrap.com/toy-story-4-incredibles-2-swap-release-dates/
Finally we're getting Incredibles, a superhero movie 10 years late. But at least it's finally getting made. And you can never get tired of a new Toy Story. And hopefully Pixar will give these sequels a break and come out with more original stories. That's what the sequels are for. To genenrate enough money to make new films. Well that's the logic but not with Hollywood of course.

Walking Dead Big Ratings

New Radio Show coming on Blog Talk Radio this week along with a new blog, just before Halloween. Live on MNN Halloween One Hour Edition Post below in bonus section:

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/the-walking-dead-season-7-premiere-ratings-1201899174/
2nd biggest opener for the show which is really surprising for this season opener. Well I didn't see those two kills coming. Well Glenn was rumour for the longest which is the one I heard about if you saw our Live on MNN show but Red getting it was a big surprise. What a sad show considering it's a Zombie show for crying out loud. The thing that got to me was Glenn almost got eaten quite a few times thru the seasons only to get a baseball to the head. Bummer. More on the radio show.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-jack-reacher-940259
Cruise got owned by Madea. Wow that's embarrassing, lol. And a difference of $5M between them. Luckily Jack Reacher is a big hit overseas meaning we might gt another one which will bomb over here. Like it doesn't matter anyways.

http://www.thewrap.com/inside-the-deadpool-2-fight-over-two-totally-different-movies/
Got to give it to Reynolds for this one. He's the one that struggled for 11 years to get it done and on a cheap scale which helped the movie big time. Having it made like big blockbuster with a $150M budget and it would have turn it into an overblown, over bloated generic movie which in a long run would have been a mess. I'm looking at you DC! ...that's right I said it! (no hate mails please, thx u, lol).

http://www.darkhorizons.com/period-tone-details-of-new-friday-the-13th/
For crying out loud leave this alone already. Even the producers can't make up their mind what to do with this even when they got the script. Never a good sign. And look how long it took to actually getting aroundto getting this one made. Another bad sign. Poor Jason, no respect.

Update:
http://www.darkhorizons.com/uwe-boll-is-done-with-making-movies/
See ya. He should have quite a long time ago. But he does prove a point on the status of movies now a days where corporations just want to make movies to clear a the bottom line. He should have gotten his Ferrari and Yacht then.

Creature Features On MNN

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5pm: mnn.org ..The Big Halloween Show, but before that....
New Blog Talk Radio Postponed till next week: The Big Halloween Show Pt. 1.

Update:
Watching Krampus dvd again but this time with dvd commentary. Full review on both the radio show and live MNN. One of these writers did Superman Returns. Yes I'm very concern hence why I'm listening to the commentary tonite.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/krampus-screenwriters-will-tackle-godzilla-2-243
While this is great news for us Giant Creature fans and building a franchise out of this, why on earth did they hire these guys.  While Krampus was not a bad b-movie, it had it's moments based on the Xmas mythology, this is a bit of  a stretch for the KKvGZ universe. They must have come cheap. But when they are setting up a writer's room it's a win win for us fans.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/cool-videos-tom-cruise-re-enacts-his-filmography-with-james-corden-189
So the rumour on the internet that this clip is better than his latest film. Well I thought the first Jack Reacher was a fkin bore I'm def not interested in the new one. But wow, Corden rocks it with this montage. And Cruise looks like he does have a great time doing this. Even better.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/logan-trailer-wolverine-movie-hugh-jackman-1201895190/
Is it me or does this look boring. It seems like the whole movie is explained in the trailer. Both Jackman and Stewart look like they want to be back on Broadway instead of being in this film.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/sinbad-is-getting-a-live-action-film-reboot/
Why? Well at least they mention Ray Harryhausen which is the best adaption. But there were so many others not mention in this article so why bother?

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/willy-wonka-new-movie-david-heyman-warner-bros-1201894143/
Didn't they learn from Burton last try at this? And where can they take this. Once you get the Golden Ticket that's it. Unless they find a new breed of spoiled brats. Wait, that sounds like Hollywood.

http://www.joblo.com/horror-movies/news/tv-review-the-rocky-horror-picture-show-lets-do-the-time-warp-again-131
Wow what a let down of a review. Well in defense Fox studios where going to remake this as a major feature. But instead decided to ride the "Live on TV" aspect. In a way that's good cause let's face it, it's cult classic and remaking this would be a disaster. So let's take this angle and be done with it.

Bonus: By request, some like when I add this so here goes regardless of subject matter:
http://variety.com/2016/digital/news/ghostbusters-beats-tarzan-for-top-spot-on-dvd-blu-ray-disc-sales-chart-1201894594/
This covers the top ten on both Blu-ray and DVD sales and rentals. At first look it can be a little bit confusing but it does show fans taste on their movies. But Ghostbusters? who knew? And I actually like it. Who knew? lol.

Batman No. 1 Again

Live on MNN this Saturday: Halloween Special but before that, New Blog Talk Radio Show.
See Mickey Mouse cartoon below links. That explains the Disney article, lol.

Update:
Found out got a long shoot at MSG tomorrow so Radio show and next blog will be this Friday.
http://www.darkhorizons.com/transformers-set-video-shows-off-uk-stunts/
4 videos of behind the scenes so cool I decided to added to this blog.

Previously:
http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-ben-affleck-accountant-kevin-hart-what-now-3-1201890322/
Batman does it again, I mean Affleck, at the box office considering what a slow Fall season it's been.
A Kevin Hart does it with 3 wins this year especially with "Pets" hitting the top 50 of the year at the box office. Shame can't be said for Max Steel. Who? Exactly.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-renewed-eighth-season-938685
Already renewed and we still don't know who gets the Baseball bat. This article does mention the comic book where Negan beats Glenn to death but they have been changing some of the concepts from the comic compared to the show. So who knows. And didn't they 'killed of Glenn" before?
All I know they kill of Needus this show is over, lol.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/captain-america-civil-war-finding-dory-disney-box-office-record-1201891155/
While we have Disney braggng about this, they still don't that much hope for RogueOne, which is really strange. Or that they know it can't compete with Force Awakens as far as the money goes. But if anyone should be concern with this should be Sony and Fox with their X-men and F4 franchises go. Disney one day will own all this so don't be surprise kiddies.

http://www.comingsoon.net/dvd/trailers/776509-independence-day-franchise-future#/slide/1
Translation: Emmerich was hoping for this franchise to last and so know he's talking about tv/cable like War of the Worlds? I backed ID sequel and was pissed off how bad it was. I'm still having problems with HBO Westworld so ID and War Worlds can both take a break as far as I'm concern.

New Rogue One Trailer News

New Radio show coming very soon: "The Big Catching Up Show." No Live on MNN this weekend.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/trailer-rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-1201887809/
Wowo over $30M in reshoots just to get this right. But is it worth it What, with a cameo by Darth Vadar? Hell Yeah! Still don't get Disney actually not having faith in this with that statement it's not goin to be as successful as Force Awakens. Man that is troubling to say the least.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/beautiful-rogue-one-final-trailer-screenshots/
This includes 69 screenshots broken down from the trailer. Great to choose from for you gadgets, I know I use them too.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-ben-afflecks-937968
CAn Batman save the boxoffice this weekend. Only if he wears the cape. And to think that over 2 years ago his name was mention and the internet was going to hell in a hand basket.
"Affleck as Batman? Noooooooooo!" How things change. Now do we want to see him as an accountant. Well if anyone can pull it off it's Affleck. If the material doesn't fail him that is.

http://screenrant.com/kong-skull-island-nycc-poster-godzilla-connections/
With Shin Gojira playing in theaters now (nope haven't seen it yet) it figures they try to tie this in somehow with the American Godzilla and King Kong. More of a tease than anything else as it barely mentions how they are going to have to giants fight it out. But it's good to know it's coming our way down the line.

http://lrmonline.com/news/breaking-news-fantastic-beasts-and-where-to-find-them-will-have-5-movies
For crying out loud the film hasn't even come out and already they jumping on the franchise band wagon. I hope this crashes and burn and leave the studio broke. It's this very obnoxious point of view is why they are losing theater goers. Ain't JK rich enough? Back to Netflix binging is all I can say.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/war-worlds-tv-series-works-938112
Why? Only the original from the 1950's is the true classic and even if Spielberg did put alot of things in from the book in his remake of the film, it still sucked compare to the classic. And forget about a tv series. It's been done along with other remakes and they still screwed it up. Something so simple by HG Wells and still can't get it right. The desperation just reeks from milking the title alone.

Bonus: So you made it down this far below the links. In case you missed this from the last blog:

Supergirl Super Ratings

New blog Talk Radio show now playing. Another one to be post later this week to catch up.
Hey! Look who else is a Supergirl fan! Scroll down below links for bonus picture, hee hee.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/775239-supergirl-premiere-brings-in-record-ratings-for-the-cw#/slide/1
Guess having Superman on the show didn't hurt.. And moving to CW didn't matter with the hardcore fans either. Great start for the new season. And CBS was complaining on spending $3M an episode.
Good move by CW for having the last laugh. (well they could spend a little more on that green screen, it still looks terrible but still a fun show, hear that Agents of...oh never mind).

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-milestone-finding-dory-936637
The little fish that could. The second biggest from Pixar behind Toy Story. And both Disney and Pixar didn't want to go ahead with this for years. And who has another last laugh?  Ellen Dory! LOL.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/tom-hanks-honored-hollywood-film-awards-sully-1201884329/
Everything is pointing to Hanks getting an Oscar nod for the movie. Well he deserves it and the movie should get a Best Picture nod also. A few months ago "Birth of a Nation" was getting all the raves butthe audience turned it's back on that big time due to the controversy and tanking at the box office didn't help matters either. But then again there is still no film out there that's worth Oscar. And with only 2 months ago it looks like we're going to get another boring Oscar show. s

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/guy-richie-to-direct-live-action-aladdin-movie-for-disney-202
The comments all the internet are screaming at this one: No Robin Williams and this is not going to work. Watch the comedian Aziz take over the role. Ritchie should do Sherlock 3. And last enough with these Live action from Disney. Man, the internet is tough.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/why-ash-vs-freddy-vs-jason-didnt-happen/
Interesting quote: sharing the proceeds 3 ways for the characters. Well another last laugh for Campbell. Ash got renewed for a third year. "Who's laughing now?"

http://www.darkhorizons.com/englund-talks-an-unused-elm-street-idea/
They should just give up on this all together. All 3 reboots sucked with Nightmare, Friday 13th,  Halloweenand Texas Chainsaw.  Even if Englund has a good idea the studios would find a way to screw it up like they did with the rest of these. They all belong in a time capsule. Let it be. And let's not start with Saw Part 56 or whatever. They still want to go ahead with that one. Jeez.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/fraggle-rock-returns-in-hd-on-hbo/
Teh Fraggle are back but what happen to the movie? Guess after the last Muppets movie tanked that idea was cancelled. Shame. But we get Live Disney right?

Bonus Picture:

Better than posting our Live show, right? LOL. PS Live on MNN, Oct. 8 extended edition is now playing on Youtube.

DeepWater to Battle 3 Flops This Weekend.

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5 pm. Click mnn.org. New Blog Talk Radio now playing. Also a New song on Soundcloud: "Seague in C"
Above poster from the Original Classic film starring Yul Brynner and James Brolin . See video below in the bonus section to see Brolin auditioning for James Bond.

http://www.comingsoon.net/dvd/trailers/773493-the-suicide-squad-extended-cut-trailer-is-here#/slide/1
With rumours of 30 to 60 minutes cut from the film we just get 13 extra minutes. Watch out, here comes the double dipping for the Exclusive Premium Directors Ultimate Super Extended Cut (but not the last edition). With 6 different cuts quoted from Director Ayers himself. Expect the studio to milk this for the next 5 years. Well they have to make up for the money lost not having the film release in China.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/a-closer-look-at-the-westworld-budget/
A follow up ot the last article I posted on the last blog. It mentions other shows that also carry big budgets. How wonder the studios are nervous with the ratings matching the the price tags on these shows. The big surprise is at the bottom of the article where it states the two part of Star Trek Voyager pilot costs $23M back in the 1990's. That's a lot of money for a show that had a bad concept to begin with.

http://www.hitfix.com/harpy/logan-will-feature-an-older-wolverine-with-a-diminished-healing-factor
Why does all point toa movie that's going to suck. Unless there's a surprise twist to continue this franchise with Jackman or a complete reboot no what X-Men has gone to TV. But I wonder how much Stewart is getting for him to come back. That's my question since it's obvious he's done with all this.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/doom-is-the-name-of-the-game-in-first-war-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-teaser-294
They should have thought about releasing this for the Holidays. Besides Doc Strange and Star Wars, is there anything else toreally go out and see this season?

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/denis-villeneuves-blade-runner-sequel-gets-an-official-title-235
So how many monkees on the laptop it took to come up with this title. At least we don't get dumber titles like BR: The return of electric sheep, The sheep are dreaming again, well you get the idea if you know Philip K Dicks original story.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/prince-was-sought-for-luke-cage-cameo/
A miss opportunity since Prince was picky on what projects he would work on that he was not in control of. But it would have been interesting to say the least. One of many things he had plan butwill never see the light of day. Well maybe some things eventually.

Bonus:
James Brolin Audition as James Bond.

Deepwater Horizon: The Better Picture At The B.O.

Live on MNN this Saturday with a new Radio Show coming before than.
Mini-Reviews:
Deepwater Horizon: 4 out of 5.
Miss P Home for P Children: 1. One of Burton's worst film ever. Boring as hell.  Full trashing review on the radio show.
Storks: 3 out of 5, while it had some funny parts, the wolves stole the show,.And while it did have a lot of action, it was way too noisy and loud in some parts
Westworld: 3 out of 5 mainly for the actors who looked more bored than I was watching this.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-analysis-can-deepwater-horizon-be-rescued-934561
This is right up there with Sully. A great double header for a Saturday night. And this should get a few nods with tech awards when Oscars come around next year. Director Berg and Mark make a great team. Check out the underrated "Lone Soldier". (4 out of 5) You know the story but still tense as ever. As far as the film itself, every penny is up on that screen. See Bonus below for article on the making of.

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/tv-ratings-westworld-premiere-matches-true-detective-season-1-1201876517/
This was pretty much a let down. I doubt they can last more than 2 seasons before people get bored.
My main problem was The Gunslinger (played by Yul Brynner in Magnificent 7 then in The Movie Westworld is human. Not a robot. What!??? And the young couple are the robots. Why change the concept. And already in the first episode they come up with a virus in the upgrade with therobots. They should have showed the wonder of Westworld and all that it offers then slowly introduce whats goin wrong in future episodes. Didn't the writers watch Jurassic World? Same concept. They introduce the amusement park then "Where did that dinosuar go?" Oh-oh...

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/why-ben-affleck-wanted-deathstroke-to-face-off-against-batman-147
What, no Joker? Finally! With Affleck behind this and a new villain hopefully this will make up the the past two failures this year BvS and Squad, two big miss fires for sure.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/773117-live-action-mulan-gets-a-2018-release-date
Another live remake that nobody was askig for. Besides this has been done better By Director and Actor Barbra Streisand with Yentl. While it wasn't based on a true story it's a concept done before. But this goes out to all of Disney's remakes. Only James and the Giant Peach should get the remake as the original didn't have the budget for the stop motion needed for the film.

Bonus:
Great article on behind the scenes making of on the film Deep Water Horizon.
http://www.studiodaily.com/2016/09/studiodaily-dossier-staging-the-deepwater-horizon-disaster/?hq_e=el&hq_m=3291192&hq_l=6&hq_v=ac94ddf0df

Burton vs. Walhberg at the Box Office.

Extra video included in our bonus section. New Radio show coming next week.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-deepwater-horizon-tim-burton-miss-peregrine-1201872902/
Check out the 4th paragraph: "Nobody seems to be in the mood to go to the movies". Well with all the new tv/cable shows premiering and binging habits that come with that, its hard for movies to compete. Especially after a crappy summer, its hard to have bi numbers at the box office. Lets face it, besides the next Star Wars, is there anything else to run to the cinema to see?

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/justin-lin-hot-wheels-1201873091/
What, no Star Trek sequel? lol, well at least he won't get his hands on that franchise again. While a fun film those camera angles got me sick. But no word if there will be a ST 4 and with the TV show being push back, the franchise remains in the air.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/lion-king-live-action-remake-jon-favreau-1201872663/
Another classic ruined. While I'm glad Favreau has got another hit, just the idea of making these live action doesn't work for me. Jungle Book was a total bore compare to the animation and is so overrated. How the hell did it make that much money is beyond my guess.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/771261-molly-parker-to-star-in-netflixs-lost-in-space
This is a strange looking cast so far. For a family nobody looks alike what so ever. But forget that. Who is going to be Dr. Smith and what about that robot? Let's not forget, who have people behind the camera who produced and directed, Godzilla, Pacific Rim and Games of Thrones. A lot is riding on this.

http://theplaylist.net/johnny-depp-michelle-pfeiffer-reportedly-eyed-kenneth-branaghs-murder-orient-express-20160928/
2 actors who won't make a dent at the box office. Depp needs Pirates and Michelle goes back to Catwoman. Ouch. While Branagh is a great director, do we need a remake on this. Director Sidney Lumet did right the first time. See Youtube video on the making of the Lumet's movie from our website below in the bonus section. Also our last live show is also posted there.

Bonus:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/suicide-squad-get-china-release-917206
It's an old article but I waited for a follow up to this and if Squad hasn't open ip by now then it's all over. Squad needed that extra $100M from China to beat Deadpool, which wasn't release in
China and still landed at No. 7 and BvsS which landed at No. 5 which was released in China. So Squad will remain at No. 8 until Rogue One comes out and move all the movies down a notch. But who knows where that's going to land since even the studio doesn't have high hopes for Star Wars.

Oouch.

Magnificent 7 is No. 1

Live on MNN video included below links. New Fall Preview radio show now playing. Fall preview part 2 coming soon. Magnificent 7 review coming soon on the radio show. 4 out of 5 without spoilers.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-magnificent-seven-gallops-$35m-932339
As I said on the Live show, Mag 7 is The biggest opening western of all time. Contrary to the article which states that Rango with Cowboy & Aliens are the two leading openers, Rango is an animated picture with a Gekko as the leading character in a western setting. Not a official western. And anything with Aliens is automatically a Sci-Fi flix. western setting or not. So Congrats to Denzal for having the biggest western opener of all time. So there....

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/jai-courtney-is-down-like-a-clown-for-a-suicide-squad-sequel-with-david-ayer-232
While not one of the best superhero movies, we all know there's a great movie in there somewhere until they butchered the movie in the editing process. What a mess. 6 different versions no less. While we have to wait what we get when it gets a home release, they should go ahead with a sequel> How can it be worst. Hmn but then again with studios....But Harley gets the green light before Squad So what does that tell you.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/stan-lee-has-already-shot-four-more-cameos/
Wow, they're not taking any chances considering his age it seems. But the one cameo he should have done is Infinity War but there will come a time there will be no more cameos. That's life. But if one thing they could wrap up is the multi-endinsg with the end credits. Who waits for them anymore? These movies are long enough as it is.

http://www.comingsoon.net/horror/news/770105-herschell-gordon-lewis-1929-2016
I remember watching his films when I was young and they were way out there.. Now a days they just remind you how much Eli Roth and others just try to do out do him by filming over the top scenes for schock. But he was the first one to push the envelope in horror movies and the others followed through the years.

Note: We are usually kicked out at 5:30 so the next show can go live. This time we got a break and stayed in the studio for an extra 10 minutes for more movie talk. If you saw the show you can fast forward 25 minutes into it. And thanks for watching.

Magnificent 7 Rides The Box Office

Live on MNN this Saturday at 5pm. Click mnn.org ...New Blog Talk Radio show now playing!

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/magnificent-seven-box-office-storks-1201865893/
7 and The Storks will this weekend. Well Sully had a good run but let's see if people want to see another remake and of course most of the animated films this year had a good run, but Storks has been mostly a low profile with the advertisements and marketing. Well at least we can say goodbye that Blair Witch crap which earns the title of the Worst Picture of the Year.
Mini-Review: Blair Witch: 0 Zero!!! out of 5. Nothing good to say about this waste of time.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/star-wars-rogue-one-vs-force-awakens-bob-iger-1201866852/
"Won't be as successful as The Force Awakens"  This is the last thing you say to the public if you want a hit. It's obvious that their not happy with the final product and preparing themselves for a wipe out. And this is Disney we're talking about.

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/warner-bros-chief-says-dc-movies-have-room-for-improvement-639
No shit. Again the studio talking to investors (kissing their ass) to save their jobs by promising better movies and lighter ones. Well maybe if they did their job right the first time this wouldn't happen, you think? And how much do these suits get paid to begin with?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/fresnadillo-fired-from-haunted-project/
This is my favorite one for the day. Writer and Director change the script so much it effected the budget and everything else. So what does Executive Producer Spielberg do? Fire the fuckers and start from scratch. Now that's funny.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/monster-trucks-gets-a-115m-writedown/
This one gets written off even before being released, Doesn't help matters that the film is already 2 years old. You notice a pattern here with the above articles. Maybe the studios are better off having the patients run the Asylum. Headless suits making very bad decisions and their wondering why their jobs are on the line.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/768311-toby-stephens-maxwell-jenkins-join-netflixs-lost-in-space-remake
As a hard core fan of the original series, I still don't see this casting as the right one. But no matter, it all comes down to the role of Dr. Smith and that damn lovable Robot B9.(Danger Danger Will Robinson). But here is the kicker, what demons are we talking about...aka stated in next article?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/toby-stephens-to-lead-lost-in-space-remake/
"Their own personal demons" ??? Holy crap!!! That is what sank the movie remake! They are supposed to be the perfect team to go into space..

Sully Vs Mag 7 For Next Weekend.

I did manage to do a new test run for Blog Talk Radio. Hopefully a new radio show this week.
Then back to Live on MNN this Saturday.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/weekend-box-office-bridget-jones-bombs-sully-snowden-929980
Surprised? Not a bit. This includes a video with trivia on the box office take. Now the question is will Denzal and Western remake take on Sully for a win? Ironic: Would a remake beat Clint at a genre that made him famous in the first place.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/was-bazs-get-down-a-ratings-flop-for-netflix/
Wow that's an expense price tag for a show. And all these music shows are tanking big time like Vinyl, Roadies and others. But check out the numbers of other shows in the fourth paragraph. Mind boggling.

http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/767469-taylor-russell-joins-netflixs-lost-in-space-as-judy-robinson
AS some of you know I grew up with this show. And while I think the movie remake just plain suck to hell, I'm glad this is going back to tv/cable/internet/whatever. And while Russell is cute as cheeks shouldn't they have started with the parents and have the rest of the family match the looks? NOt a big deal, as I'm looking forward to this any which way.

Emmy Awards Bonus:
http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/emmy-awards-2016-donald-trump-jimmy-kimmel-1201864596/
This had some funny momments and Kimmel was good at doing this. Damon coming out and dissing Kimmel was that highlight if you follow the feud they have on Kimmels show. But it doesn't look like he's coming back......

http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/tv-ratings-emmys-2016-sunday-night-football-case-of-jonbenet-ramsey-1201864896/
Never go up against football. You don't see that happening with the Oscars then, of course football is over by then. What a coincidence. But it's too predictable. What Thrones win again? Naaaaaaaaa..

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/emmys-2016-maggie-smith-accepts-jimmy-kimmel-joke-930834
Total class with a sense of humour added to it. Way to go Dame Maggie.

Sully No. 1 For Another Weekend?

I did a test tun earlier and it just didn't play. Sorry about. Hopefully we'll get it up and running by next week. No other shows are scheduled for this weekend.

Mini-Review: Sully: 4 out of 5. Good start for the fall season. Hanks should get an Oscar nod for this one. Clint pulls off an interesting story considering we know how everything turns out. And for 90 minutes this packs a lot of info and never a dull minute instead of those other long ass films. Yoou which ones, lol.

So who is going to beat Sully? No one. With sequels that nobody asked for and who's that dude Snowden, Hanks and Clint should have no problem staying No. 1. But then again Horror has had a good year so it might be close.

Wait a second. We have to wait till May because of the Special Effects are not ready. How many times have we heard that, meaning we have to go back and fix things cause the product sucks the way it is. How are they kidding. And they need to hook it up with Good Wife to get a ratings jump. Who the hell ask for a spin off to that show anyways. It this shows CBS has no faith in the show. Not a good sign.

While this is great news, something they should have done in the pirst place, what happened to Suicide Squad 2? No mention what so ever. Again the studio has no faith in the franchise. While it is grossing over $700M the overblown budget was of no help. And it still has to open in China where it was good to F7 and Pacific Rim and not to Star Wars and BvsS. Umm..

Speaking of which...Great news that this is going ahead while other projects are on hold for not even mention aka Squad and X-Men (TV series don't count, lol).

And speaking of tv, lol...Great clips featuring the individual characters. Sorry this is more interesting than AGents of Shield by a mile. And surprisely that show is still on.

Sully No. 1 For The Week

Live on MNN now playing, new radio show on the next blog set for Thursday.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-sully-bough-wild-life-1201857439/
$35M plus is a great start for a September film. Question is will it hang in there for next weekend.
And all bets are for Hanks to get an Oscar nod. He should have gotten one for Captain Philips.

What cracks me up is that even the last JW made so much money, it still has it haters. But what makes the difference? The story is just a setup to see the dinosaurs in action and people worry about the scripts all suck. Really? Does it matter by this point?

http://www.darkhorizons.com/those-wild-bond-payday-rumors-debunked/
The big deal is not with Craig but with MGM deal with Sony to release Bond films is over. Now any other studio could take over the franchise. This is what to watch for, who the next Bond film at this point could be anyone. And with Sony's track record lately maybe The Mouse is paying attention, lol.

They've been talking about this for years and finally their getting someone to do this. But another remake? Uncle Lloyd (Kaufman) got quite a bashing from Troma fans about this, and while I liked Sausage Party, it was just way over the top with nasty language for the sake of nasty language. This is what Toxie does not need. Hm did I just sound like a Troma fan?

Note: Due to workload again this week, just another blog will be posted this week. Sorry about that.

Happy 50th Anniversary To Star Trek

Live on MNN this Saturday 5pm, This blog will return next week on a daily basis.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-sully-bough-breaks-926496
Looks like Sully is going to do gret for strting the Fall season. Now how about the rest of the films until Rogue One. I mean this had to be one of the toughest summers to review considering much of the films added to a "MEH" at best.

From fans to people who worked on  the show pick their favorite episodes. My list will be on a new radio show coming soon.

Great coverage on the 50 years of Trek. Most of this is old news to us Trekkers but a good read anyways. But there is a stinger to TN with an apology to Patrick Stewart. Whats up with that?Included is a one minute animated video from Shatner and his friendship with Nimoy. Short but very cool.

Finally he nails a superhero part after getting turn down for Superman and Suicide Squad. Because of Will Smith roll getting bigger, both Joe and Tom Hardy quit.

The big question mark here is will Avatar will go up against Star Wars for Christmas release or go back to summer release instead.

Below:
Last Saturday's special presentation at AMC Theatres, NYC in memory for Gene Wilder's picture. Willy Wonka was also playing, but we chose this instead. A lot funnier. And the crowd was great!
